Paul Crang

Councillor with Portfolio of water cources and diluvial matters.

I live at Courtry Farm in Bridgehampton with my wife Jess, two sons Alfie & Freddie and our various pets and animals. Ours is a family farm and my Grand parents moved here around 1950 as tenants of the Church of England before my father took on the farm and I moved here as a child. I went to school locally in Bruton before departing for university to study agriculture, graduating and taking a few different jobs before returning to the business. As many farms have had to do, we diversified and through the last 20 years we have developed some dilapidated farms we own near Shepton Mallet and Glastonbury into holiday properties which we rent out as Woodlands Retreats – we now have 10 properties, half of them we own and half we manage for other people. We also own and run a Glamping site for Glastonbury Festival with some 200 people staying with us in Yurts & Tipis each year it is on. Business and family life occupies virtually all my time, but I’m a keen rugby fan, enjoy skiing and hope to get back into tennis in the future when I have time.
