Jock Gordon

After 32 action packed years in the Royal Navy, principally spent flying Commando Sea King and Lynx helicopters in support of operations worldwide, Jock switched his focus to the often equally combative world of international business in 2013. His initial foray into this new world, was as the Business Development Director for Raytheon UK’s international Air Traffic business, and latterly as the Business Development Director for a French IT company. Throughout these various adventures, Jock’s roots remained firmly planted in Somerset, where he has lived since moving to the county 37 years ago. Recently retired, he and his wife, Helen, still live in Podimore, where they moved to with their 2 young children nearly quarter of a century ago! An avid reader, hill-walker – and a recent convert to kayaking – Jock is very much looking forward to making life better for our local community, through active participation on the Parish Council.
