Minutes of theAnnual Parish Meeting of Yeovilton held onApril gth 2019 at St. Bartholomew’s Churrh, Yeovilton at 7.30pm.

Apologies were received from Mr. D. Board, Mr. B. Barlow, Mr. R. Graydon, CRO, RNAS, PC. Stefan Edwards & PCSO Thelma Mead.
The Minutes of theAnnual Open Parish meeting held on May 8e 2018, having been circulated, and copies available, for the public, were signed as correct.
The Chairman welcomed all present.
Mrs. Jones gave her report which included that she was delighted to report that tvro of the three ongoing issues
have been carried out. Namely the drainage works at the end of Church Stree! Podimore have been done and are working well, and the 40 MPH Speed limit on the B.3151 from Ilchester to RNAS Yeoviltorq with a 30 MPH through the Base have been put in place. This leaves the drainage issues highlighted by Mr. Browncey, at Stockwich Cross roads to Bridgehampton yet to be resolved.
The Council have been involved in meetings with Highays England reference the proposed dualling of the 4.303 Spmkford to the Podimore roundabout.
A planning application for a dwelling in YWeir Lane, Yeovilton was granted at SSDC Area East Committee, despite opposition from the adjacent residents and the Parish Council.
Mrs. Jones thanked all her fellow Councillors & Clerk for their support during the past year.
Mrs. W. Scrivener in her absence, was rhanked for acting as Intemal auditor.
Mrs Jones thanked both Mr. M. Lewis, County Councillor, & Mr. A.Capozzali, District Councillor, for their
support during the year, and ttreir attendance at ttre Council’s meetings. Mrs. Jones thanked Mr. R. Graydon CRO, RNAS in his absence, for his support.
Mrs. Jones informed the meeting that there have been four nominations for the new Council, and as the Council will consist of seven members, there are three vacancies to be filled by co-option after May 2″d.
There were no other reports.
The Councillors thanked the Chairman for her work for the Council tlroughout the past year.
County & District Councillors’ neports
Mr. Capozzoli, District Councillor, gave his report, which included – the Traffic management onAir Day
was very successfirlwith no hold ups in Ilchester &thatthere is now limited access to the Planning deparhnent. Informed the Council that the Boundary Commission have decided that there are to be three District Councillors for a newArea consisting of Northstone, Ivelchester & St. Michael existing Wards.
In his role as Chairman of SSDC attended two Remembrance Sunday services in Yeovil. Reported that SCC cuts will mean’Get Sef services will be cuts with 80 staffbeing affected.
SSDC have bought a site near Taunton, as part of the Council’s regeneration activity to be used for
Solar Power Battery storage.
Has attended meetings of the Limington Parish meeting to discuss their way forward to change their
status from being a Parish meeting to becoming part of a Pmish Council.
Finally reported thataletter from SSDC had been sentto RNAS reference the Bridgehampton flooding
issues & SSDC elections are to take place on May 2d .
Mr. M. Lewis, County Councillor thanked the Chair and members for their sup,port during the past year and
stated that he would comment on the 4.303 proposals at the Parish Council meeting.
