Present: Mrs. R.S. Jones, Mr. P. Browncey, Mr. D. Board, Mr. B. Barlow, Mr. A. Elliott, Mr. A. Hickman, hdr. R Luclq Mr. M. Lewis, County Councillor, Mr. P. Rowsell, Di$hict Councillor, Mr. A.Capoz,zali, District Councillor, Mr. R. Graydon, CRO, RNAS, Rev. B Faulkner & Mr. P. Horsington, Clerk.
Eight members of the public attended.
31. Apologies
Apologies were received from Mr. C. Hull, Disfict Councillor, PC Stefan Edwards
and PCSO Thelma Mead.
32. Minutes
The Minutes of the previous meeting having been circulated, were signed as correct.
33. Declarations of Interest
Mrs. Jones declared a Personal Interest in an application yet to be received, for development on behalf of
Mr. R Wetherall to be situated on land adjircent to Pilgrims, W’eir Lane, being for the erection of a dwelling.
34. Open Session & County and District Councillors’reports
Mr. Lewis, County Councillor stated there is a need to push County Highways on the flood issues at
Bridgehampton with Mr. Graydon stating that there are ongoing issues with the MOD over this.
Mr. P. Rowsell was welcomed to the meeting and introduced himself. Nlr. Capozzoli infonned the meeting
that the three District Councillors had invited the Chairmen & vice- Chairs to an informal meeting held at the Halfuay Inn, Chilthorne Domer. Mrs. Jones stated that it had been an interesting & useful evening.
Two residents attending from Draycott, highlighted the issue of HGVs using roads in their area which are creating serious potential safety issues, with Mr. Lewis stating that there are also issues in Limington Pmish.
The Council were informed by Mr. Lewis, County Councillor that he is to attend a meeting to discuss these issues and he will report back to the Council. These issues were noted.
Mrs. Hickman expressed her concerns on access safety issues which will arise from any proposed development on land adjacent to Pilgrims, Weir Lane.
Mrs. Hickman stated that a Right of Way in Limington Parish needs attention, being very overgrown.
Mr. A. Hickman informed the meeting that legally Landowners have the responsibility to maintain Rights of Way and ifthey fail, the SCC Rights of Way are able to clear paths and then make a charge for doing so.
There was nothing to report from Limington Parish reference the creation of a Parish Council.
35. RNAS matters, Police & Community issues & Church mattere
Mr. Graydon, CRO, RNAS, reported thatAir Day preparations are in hand being held on July 13m
Mrs. Jones stated that if there are any issues arising from the Air Day, then these should be sent to her or the Clerlq as the Council do not meet wrtil September 10e , with these being forwarded to RNAS. This action was unanimously approved.
The Council noted the apologies from the Police.
Rev. B. Faulkner reported that there will be Cream Teas & Cakes onAugust 3d at the Podymore Inn and on September 76 a,Sausage Simle’at Limington.
36. Planning matters
Ml Capozzali reported that discussions regarding the access to the site during consfuction for the works
for application 18/03658/REM for Land norttr of Troubridge Park, Ilchester following approval 15/00A247|OUT for the erection of 150 dwellings etc. are still ongoing.
There was nothing to report in respect of the planning application L9l00454lOUT for Mr. Paul Rogers on land adjacentto the Florins, Bineham Lane, Yeovilton forthe erection oftwo single storey dwellings and formation ofvehicular access.
The Council discussed and supported application 5CC1363312019 at Podimore Recycling Centre, Lower Dairy Farm, Podimore for extension of existing recyling facility to include erection of topsoil shed lorry
and improved stafffacilities and the creation of a perimeter embankmen! with the proviso that there will be a bund constructed.
Mrs. Jones, having declared a Personal Interest for an application yet to be received, for the erection of dwelling on land adjacent to Pilgrims, V/eir Lane for Mr. R. Wetherall, vacated the Chair, which taken by Mr. Browncey, vice Chairman.
